Volunteer

The age range of our volunteers varies from 10 years to 70 years and in fact there are no age or gender restrictions.

Volunteers are required to serve with honesty, integrity, humbleness, modesty and a desire to help others. We ask our volunteers to offer dignity and to be proud to serve without judgement. Smiles are required. Fortunately we have an abundance of volunteers.

Volunteers do everything from cooking, serving, slicing and dicing, handing out clothing, taking information, accepting gratitude and hugs, passing out drinks and snacks, posting flyers, pickup and delivery, on call service, distribution of sleeping bags and blankets, tailgate street feeding, transportation, cartage, lending cooking hardware, bookkeeping, secretarial work and the set up and take down of feeding sites.  

We thank each and every volunteer personally and we also distribute an electronic newsletter to them. We make sure that each of the volunteers is aware of the fact that their efforts are the backbone of our Charity. There are no words to describe the amazing warmth and feeling of goodwill volunteers receive when they participate in helping others. Almost every volunteer thanks the administration for the opportunity to be of service and some with tears in their eyes.
